Some of our Fusion plans come with Security Console access and some do not, and it is worth a minute to work out which you need, because it is the difference between being able to set up your own users and not.
What Security Console gives you
Security Console is where user and role management happens in Fusion. With access to it you can create users and assign roles to them yourself.
Who needs it
- Anyone learning or practising Fusion security setup, where the role design is the thing being learned
- Trainers running a batch, who need separate logins for each student
- Consultants demonstrating a workflow that depends on who is logged in, such as an approval chain
- Anyone testing a scenario where the behaviour changes with the user's role
Who does not
If you are working through functional setup on a single login, you do not need it. Most people learning the functional side of Fusion never open Security Console, and paying for access you will not use is not worth it.
If you are not sure
Start without it. Ask yourself whether anything you plan to do involves a second user. If the answer is no, you do not need it - and if that changes, email support and we will tell you what is possible on your instance.
